Client

Mescal is an independent Italian record label, founded in 1993 by Luciano Ligabue and Valerio Soave, also active in management and artistic production. Recognized as one of the leading Italian indie labels of the 1990s, it launched artists such as Afterhours, Bluvertigo, Carmen Consoli, La Crus, Subsonica, Modena City Ramblers and Ermal Meta. After a period of reduced activity, it regained visibility in the early 2010s with names such as Morgan, Arisa, Moreno and many others, consolidating its artistic diversity.

Challenge

Mescal needed a modern website that could serve simultaneously as a showcase for the label and a functional platform: it had to integrate a complete e-commerce for records, merchandising, and publications, and host dedicated profiles for each artist, including images, biographies, and press updates. Additionally, they required creative design solutions to complete the communication toolkit: album covers, promotional tour material, flyers, and merchandising. The goal was to combine representation, sales, and effective communication in a single coherent and distinctive interface.

Solution

We developed an intuitive, easy-to-manage WordPress website, with a clear structure for editorial content, e-commerce, and press. The design included SEO attention and a strong visual identity evocative of Mescal’s artistic image. In parallel, we supported all graphic needs: from the creation of album booklets to official merchandising graphics, flyers, and live communications. The result is an integrated platform that enhances the label’s history, its artists, and its relationship with the audience.
